A Message to
Our Neightors
on the
DAY OF EVACUATION
O) 5 you leave your homes we wish
to express our friendship for you and
our belief in you as neighbors and
fellow Americans. We would assure
you that evacuation does not in our
minds reflect in any way upon your -
integrity as citizens, and we do ap-
' preciate the fine spirit in which you
are accepting this difficult situation.

Many of us know many of you
personally, and are confident of your
loyalty to the United States. Under
the stress of this dislocation you are
showing that loyalty in word and in
spirit. We would have you feel this is
only a temporary change and that
after this unfortunate conflict is over |
you will be welcomed back to this
Community and to your accustomed
occupations of life.
