VOTING: Voting whl be dependent upon the interest of those in


attendance as representatives of an orgaiized group, therefore


each member present wili be allowed one vote. The Chair is em-


powered to restrict the number of votes to be given any organiza- |

SAN FRANCISCO COORDINATING COUNCIL


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This Council is to embody all groups


interested in cooperating mad coordinating the activities of the


Japanese community in San Francisco. It is to act as a clear-


ing house. On one hand, it will discuss suggestions and pro-


posals for presentation to the properly authorized body. On


the other hand, it will be the channel for dissemination of


information and recommendations for action from the properly


authorized body to each member organization. However, these


recommendations are not mandatory to the member organizations, (c)


unless hey be direet rulings from the Federal authorities.


VOTING: Bach organization will have two official delegates


and will be entitled to one vote per delegate present (i.e.


two votes per organization if both delegates are present).


OFFICERS: Officers of the Council will consist ef two chair-


men, 2 secretaries, and 4 Steering Committee of eight members

LG UE HANDLING BUSINESS: Business will be handled by


committees which in turn will report to the main group before


action is taken. However, if action must be taken immediately,


such action may be taken by the Steering Committee without

1. Need for a Coordinating Council: The right information should


be in the hands of the right officials.


Need the help of the American


groups to speak for us, therefore need our Caucasian contacts,


as an integral part of this group.


May have ideas and suggestions


but these must be acted upon --to be expressive about the ideas


held.


Follow up on any action taken


by any of the other groups to make it more forceful.
