Dear Mr. Links:
Enclosed are two photo prints of my drawing of the Grizzly
Bear as a basis for the proposed new form of the California
- Bear Flag. This drawing is a preliminary sketch made in
consultation with Dr. Tracy I. Storer. It is for your
comment and criticism before rendering in final form for
repromuetion.
Also enclosed te @ print, same size as above, that 1 had
made from the existing Bear Flag and from which I traced
the outline to begin the new drawing; also prints of the
Nahl painting and the engraving made from it, that Dr.
Stoeer supplied. Kindly return all these copies for use in
making my final drawing.
When the work has been completed to your satisfaction, please
advise me as to how you wish it billed.
