Documents consist of a copy complaint filed by plaintiff's attorneys, Burnett & Benzen; copy answer filed by the defense attorney, E. Casserly; copy amendments to answer; and copy notice of appeal. Attorney's notes include testimony from the plaintiff, and a list of jurors. Includes typed transcript of testimony. Also includes a newspaper clipping "The rights of colored men to ride in the cars" relating to a similar case, William Browne vs. North Beach & Mission Rail Road Company.
